The Camcon Bi-stable Pinch Valve enables the timed dosing, extraction and control of a liquid or gas. The small, energy-efficient valve is completely portable and incorporates a discrete fluid channel, creating a sterile flow environment critical for medical applications where product purity is a high priority.

As well as assuring sterility, the valve has been designed to manage the isolation, diversion and flow of fluids (e.g. blood or saline) in patient applications involving liquid or gas measurements within a fixed instrument.

The swinging magnetised bi-stable armature pinches the tube open or closed, depending on the armature's position. This pinching action increases the valve's reliability, preventing blockages.

As Camcon's Bi-stable Pinch Valve requires very little energy to operate, it can be powered for long periods of time from a battery and has the potential to aid patient mobility during the recovery period.
