About Camcon

Camcon is an Intellectual Property (IP) company founded to commercialise binary actuating technology, a new class of bi-stable valves and actuators. The company aims to make the Camcon® Binary Actuator a worldwide standard.

In 2004, Camcon received an innovation award from the UK’s East of England Energy Group's Innovation Award for its energy-efficient rolling swing valve.

Camcon was founded in 2000 as a vehicle to support the development and commercialisation of this ground-breaking technology. Five European and one US patents have been granted so far and numerous worldwide patents are pending.

Camcon is developing products based on the Camcon® Binary Actuator in a number of industrial markets, including agriculture, automotive, aviation, medical and oil & gas, where its unique characteristics are deemed to offer the largest financial and technological return.

Based in the UK’s Silicon Fen, Camcon operates from a 350 sq m facility. The fast growing company is focused on core research and development and licenses its technology to customers, typically on an exclusive field-of-use basis.

Camcon is funded by Hit & Run, the management team behind the Genesis rock band and ACUS Managing Partners, an active management venture capitalist that specialises in funding early stage technology companies.
